What should I do if I entered the wrong manufacturer name during registration or want to remove an AR–manufacturer association?

If you make a mistake when entering the manufacturer name during registration, for example a spelling error, you can register the manufacturer again using the correct name. You do not need to take any further action regarding the incorrectly entered manufacturer. If the incorrectly named manufacturer is inadvertently “Verified” by the relevant CSIRT Designated as Coordinator (CDaC), please contact the CDaC and ask them to reject the incorrectly registered entity.

If a Primary or Secondary AR wishes to remove their association with a manufacturer, they can do so directly if the manufacturer has already been “Verified” by the relevant CDaC. If the manufacturer has not yet been verified, the AR can either wait until verification is completed and then remove the association themselves, or contact the relevant CDaC and ask them to reject the AR–manufacturer association.

For further guidance, please consult Section 4.5 “Manage Manufacturer Association” of the CRA Single Reporting Platform – AR User Manual, which explains how AR users can manage their association with a manufacturer, including removal of an AR–manufacturer association or, where applicable, removal of a Secondary AR association. A Primary AR can remove their own association or remove a Secondary AR association for the manufacturer, while a Secondary AR can only remove their own association.
